This blue paisley pen case is one of the wraps we bring to pen meets where we would sell. After which, all pen wraps are returned in to designated boxes. When we opened the container where this particular wrap stayed, we found some light brown spots on it. These could be seen only on the paisley print which happens to be of distressed appearance.

Distressed fabrics usually have a lot of colors to give it its look. Several colors are applied or printed into defined patterns. Sometimes during the process of localized dyeing, printing defects could happen. However, for this distressed paisley print we couldn’t tell if the brown spots are naturally part of it from the very beginning. Unsure if the discoloration is a printing defect, or from previously used tailor’s chalk marker, or from handling, we attempted to wash it. But the discoloration remained. Hence the super low price. Still, this wrap is beautiful even with its flaws. Besides, the discoloration does not have an effect on the use of this pen case, that is to keep pens conveniently carried. 😉

What we recommend:

Use a distressed fabric such as this one for a pen that always burp. Or for your daily workhorse pens. Like all our other distressed pen cases, this wrap will hold ink spill well and will create a beautiful character at each and every ink splat. Instead of looking ugly, the ink spill will blend into the design of the wrap for an abstract art feel. Try it! 🖋️🎨
